Our school and orphanage is only a part of the work we do.
Our children’s families are important to us as are those in our community.
A team of volunteers, with our School Director, Christopher, will visit familes to ensure that they have food, a roof over their head and that their health is maintained. Our families know that if they have an urgent need we are there for them. Our families recognise that Nakuru Hope is not a ‘hand out’ but that of being there to help when the need is great.
Our volunteers also see the needs, be it a new mattress or a mosquito net, food or a health issue and are there to lend a hand.
HIV continues to snatch away lives of those who are uneducated. Counselling during our visits take place and informative classes are held on the dangers of HIV : drinking of contaminated water: and disease and personal development.
